What does eye-clean mean?<\/h2>\n

For a fine jewellery sapphire, buyers often seek an eye-clean appearance. This means that no distracting inclusion is easily visible to the unaided eye under ordinary viewing conditions.<\/p>\n

It does not mean that the sapphire is free of inclusions under a loupe or microscope. Viewing distance, lighting, stone size and eyesight also affect what can be seen, so photographs and a clear description are useful.<\/p>\n
